A MAJOR road near Basingstoke is closed and a motorbike rider has been taken to hospital with 'serious injuries.'
An incident was reported at 1.47pm on Sunday, June 9 on the A339, between Spain Lane and Lasham Road, Alton and Basingstoke.
It was reported that a motorbike rider was involved in a single vehicle collision, with the road closed and traffic moving slowly still numerous hours later.

The rider has been taken to hospital with 'serious injuries'.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "Police were called at 2.03pm this afternoon (Sunday, June 9) to reports of a single vehicle collision on the A339 involving a motorbike.
"The rider of the motorbike has been taken to Southampton General Hospital with serious injuries."
