With the European Championships less than a week away, we have had a look at some of the best places in Basingstoke to get a drink and settle down as the footy begins.

Millions of supporters across England are expected to watch as England open their Group C campaign against Serbia at 8pm on Sunday, June 16.

The Three Lions will be hoping to get off to a winning start and pick up points in their second game against Denmark later in the week, before facing Slovenia on Tuesday, June 25 for their final group-stage fixture.

The pub is sure to be packed once again with football fanatics getting in a pint in the gleaming sun, awaiting the chants of 'Jules Rimet' to start prior to the football. The Rising Sun – Chapell Hill

Situated right in the centre of town, the Rising Sun is a spacious pub with a beer garden and wide selection of beers. It serves a vast beer and wine selection and is family friendly.

King of Wessex – Winchester Road

This popular pub will once again be showing the football, alongside its new beer garden design which boasts a number of big screen TV's outside. With 12 large screen TV's inside and out, the pub says it 'really are the place to watch the football.'

Village Pub and Grill - Basing View

Located at the Village Hotel in Basingstoke, its giant screens offer a great view for football fans. No better way to catch Jude Bellingham turning in a cross from Bakayo Saka than on a huge screen.

The Portsmouth Arms - Hatch Warren

Located at the top end of Hatch Warren near to the M3, the pub is well known for its quiz nights but now boasts a number of TV's and a mixture of indoor and outdoor seating space, ready to watch the game with a pint of your favourite bitter and friends and family in tow. Perfect.

Holly Blue - Beggarwood 

The Holly Blue is a country pub and restaurant serving good quality, freshly cooked food and drinks.

The Riverdene - Riverdene 

The Riverdene is a large pub located in the heart of the Riverdene estate.
