A BASINGSTOKE school has been connecting with the wider community by raising money for charity.
Park View Primary School, in Pinkerton Road, donated more than £255 to Spotlight UK following a non-uniform day.
Spotlight previously supplied the school with mental health packs and family days out for children and families in need, so the school wanted to give back to the charity and raise awareness of its work.
Headteacher Danielle Owens said: “We are delighted to be able to support a charity that so many of our families have benefitted from over the years.
"The support Spotlight gives to vulnerable families is invaluable and we hope our donation helps them with the fantastic work they do.”
Spotlight UK was started in 2009 and provides emotional and practical support as well as enjoyable and fun activities to hundreds of children and young people across the area every year.
