TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of shoplifting after reports that items were stolen from Basingstoke stores.
Plain-clothes officers were patrolling the town centre yesterday, Sunday, June 9 when they noticed two men acting suspiciously at Morrisons on Worting Road.
It was reported that two men had left the store without paying for a number of items.

Following a search, officers found Lego, alcohol, bedding and food. Officers then received a report that a pressure washer had been stolen from Wickes, on Churchill Way West.
A 45-year-old man from Reading and a 52-year-old man from Torquay were arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop and going equipped for theft.
Police added that they have been bailed with conditions, pending further enquiries.
