A NEW Co-op with an in-store bakery and Costa Coffee Express has opened in Tadley.
The 2,600 square foot convenience store, in New Road, has created a dozen local jobs, and a small number are still available.
The store is open from 7am until 10pm daily, focusing on fresh, healthy produce including food-to-go, fairtrade products, flowers, greeting cards, chilled beers, award-winning wines, ready meals, pizzas, and free-from products.

Parcel collection services are available at the store via an In Post locker.
The Co-op is doing its bit to help the environment with a soft plastic recycling unit available in store to enable the community to recycle ‘soft plastics’ including crisp packets and bread bags, lids from ready meals and yogurt pots, biscuit wrappers, and pet food pouches.
The green initiative will ensure all Co-op’s own food packaging is recyclable either through local authority kerbside collections or the in-store recycling unit.

Lewis Hooper, Co-op store manager, said: “Our aim is to operate at the heart of local life, and we have worked to develop the range, choice and added services to create a compelling offer to serve our community, conveniently.
“The store also has a focus on delivering added value, with member price savings across a wide range of everyday essential groceries so that the people who own our business, our member-owners, benefit every time they shop.”
The Co-op is one of the world’s largest consumed-owned co-operatives and its member system plays a part in the governance of the organisation, with a range of benefits across everyday essentials.
Membership costs £1 giving access to exclusive offers, discounts and evets whilst supporting the local community.
To find out more about the membership options and the benefits it is available by visiting coop.co.uk/membership.
