A DRIVER who was reversing his car when he hit a cyclist has been banned from getting behind the wheel.
George Garratt had been reversing his Nissan Qashqai on London Road, in Hartley Wintney, when the incident happened on August 1, 2023.
The 42-year-old reversed onto the cyclist, causing him serious injury.

Garratt appeared at Winchester Crown Court on Monday, June 17, where he pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by careless / inconsiderate driving.
Judge Adam Feest KC disqualified Garratt from driving for 12 months.
The judge also ordered him to pay £500 in costs and a £500 fine.
