CANDIDATES standing for North West Hampshire will be questioned by the public at a hustings event ahead of the General Election on July 4.
The event on June 26, at 7pm at All Hallow’s Church, in Whitchurch, will cover issues including peace, debt and the climate, chaired by Reverend David Roche, the vicar at the church.
Andrew Smith, organiser of the hustings, said: “This is a great opportunity for voters to see candidates in person and ask for their views on issues local, national and global.”

Candidates attending will be Andy Fitchet (Labour), Luigi Gregori (Liberal Democrats), Phil Heath (Hampshire Independents), Kit Malthouse (Conservative), Andrew Meacham (Reform UK), and Hina West (Green Party).
Attendees can submit questions before the meeting begins, from 6.30pm. Refreshments will also be provided.
Questions will also be taken from the floor during the event.
Andrew added: ‘‘While questions on any topic will of course be welcome, election material produced by Christian Aid will be available for perusal at the back of the church, highlighting key issues which may otherwise be overshadowed in the national debate”.
