A BASINGSTOKE racing driver with disability has secured yet more silverware in his latest race with Team BRIT – the world’s only competitive team of all-disabled racing drivers.
Aaron Morgan, who is a paraplegic following a motocross accident, is competing for the team in the 2024 British Endurance Championship alongside his teammate Paul Fullick, racing in a McLaren 570S GT4.
On Saturday, June 15, the pair qualified first in their class, putting them on the front row of the iconic grid.
During the two-hour endurance race, every sort of weather arrived, from torrential rain to warm weather which dried the track quickly, making the crew’s tyre decisions challenging.

Despite this, Aaron and Paul battled hard, bringing the car home second in class. This follows on from their first in class result at Snetterton in April.
The pair can drive the team’s McLaren 570S GT4 through the innovative hand control technology the team has created. Paul is a lower-leg amputee following a motorbike crash.
Aaron said: “I had a brilliant weekend at Silverstone. With thanks to our driver coach Mikey Broadhurst’s top tips, I was able to really feel comfortable again in wet conditions.
“Qualifying took place in very rainy conditions, and I gained my third pole position of the season in class D, putting me on the front row of the overall race. It was a brilliant feeling to line up at the front, with nothing in front of me other than the faster, class A car.

“At the start of the race, I really made the most of our new tyres and put in my fastest laps ever of the Silverstone track. It was a shame not to take the win – unfortunately due to the challenges of selecting the right tyres for the ever-changing weather.
“It was another incredible weekend and I am thoroughly grateful to the crew for giving us such an amazing car to drive all weekend, and to my sponsors for their support. I’m now itching to be driving again at Oulton Park in just 3 weeks’ time.”
Aaron races again at Oulton Park on July 6.
