RESIDENTS at a care home in Hook were surprised when two goats came to visit.

The four-legged visitors sprang a delightful surprise on the folks at Old Raven House, thanks to Caroline Seignot of Pony Pals.

Ms Seignot’s animal visits to the home aim to bring cheer, allowing residents the chance to feed and groom them.

On this occasion, the curious goats roamed about the lounge, causing laughter to resonate throughout the home.

Residents were overjoyed by the interaction, with one resident overheard asking: "Can I keep one?"

These activities form part of Old Raven House’s unique programme, aiming to enrich residents' lives with engaging experiences.

Anne Turner, home manager at Old Raven House, said: "It’s wonderful to see our residents so happy and engaged.

"Caroline’s visits with her animals bring a special kind of joy that stays with us long after the animals have gone.

"Our activities programme aims to provide diverse and meaningful experiences, and today was a perfect example of that."

The home says it's dedicated to making every day there an adventure, each filled with 'heartwarming' moments, to ensure that residents enjoy a fulfilling and vibrant life.
