BASINGSTOKE and Deane motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network over the next two weeks.

Two of them are expected to cause moderate delays with drivers facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A303, from 8pm April 8 to 6am July 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 both directions M3, junction 9 to Three Maids Hill, carriageway closures for resurfacing work.

• A303, from 10pm May 19 to 5am September 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 both directions Bullington Cross to Wash Common, carriageway closure for National Grid works.

And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A303, from 8pm June 26 to 6am June 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Overton, slip road and lane closures for maintenance work.

• A34, from 8pm June 27 to 6am June 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound, Tot Hill, slip road and lane closures for barrier repairs.

• M3, from 8pm July 3 to 5am July 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 6 to junction 7, lane closures for technology works.

• A303, from 9.30pm July 5 to 6am July 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Bullington to Crematorium, slip road and lane closures for maintenance works,.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
