The reigning play-off champions the Basingstoke Buffalo have confirmed their coaching team for the forthcoming season which starts in September.
Once again Paul Petts and Hallam Wilson are joint player/coaches
The two forwards capped a superb first season in charge of the Buffalo by guiding them to victory in end-of-season play-offs.
This was thanks to a thrilling victory in final over Haringey, after they knocked out league champions Guildford in the semi-finals.
Hotshot Hallam Wilson topped the league in scoring with 75 points in the regular season hitting the net 45 times.
He then scored four more times in the play-offs
Playmaker Paul Petts led the Buffalo for assists last term with 40 helpers in 21 games and also scored 16 times and then added five points in the play-offs.
Simon Beere will again be the bench coach and the former Buffalo forward brings a wealth of experience to this position.
He is an important part of the set-up on match days when the two coaches of the team are focussed on playing.
The only addition to the coaching team is Dan Weller-Evans, who takes on the goalie coach role and bench support on game days.
The popular netminder back stopped the Buffalo to play-off success and has now retired after a glittering career.
The former Bison fans’ favourite had eight seasons with the Herd and will now past on his knowledge to the next generation of Basingstoke goalies.
Talking about his new roles, Weller-Evans said: “I am very excited to still be involved. I know I would miss not being involved at all.
“I am no longer playing, but I am more than ready to turn the page on that chapter of my career.”
