A group of students from Queen Mary's College (QMC) in Basingstoke are organising a free charity tennis event on Wednesday, June 26, to raise money for The Warren, a youth club based at Hatch Warren Community Centre.
Held as part of the college's Social Action Week, the event is taking place at the QMC sports hall from 3pm to 5.30pm.
The cause is particularly close to the hearts of the student organisers, with one member actively volunteering at The Warren.
They said The Warren is the only youth centre covering Hatch Warren and Beggarwood, highlighting the importance of the local charity for young people in the community.

The event aims to raise funds for a new set of tennis rackets and balls to expand the range of activities offered by the youth club.
All proceeds go towards The Warren, which relies heavily on donations.
The afternoon will featur friendly tennis games, fun competitions, prizes for participants, and refreshing ice lollies to beat the heat. Attendees could also purchase cakes and drinks on-site.
