The Hindu community in Basingstoke is organising its annual Sewa Charity Cricket Tournament this Sunday, June 30.
The event will be held at the Fairfield School playing fields near Carnival Hall Community Centre, starting at 8.30am and continuing late into the evening.
Open to all, the day promises to be a fun-filled family event.
The festivities will kick off with a celebration of International Yoga Day, followed by a thrilling cricket tournament featuring 12 teams.
This year, the competition welcomes a new team – the Basingstoke Council Cricket Team, led by councillors Paul Harvey and Kerry Morrow.
Beyond the cricket pitch, there's plenty to keep everyone entertained.
Children can enjoy bouncy castles, while delicious home-cooked vegetarian meals will be available for purchase.
Stalls from DKMS will offer the opportunity to join the stem cell register.
The event aims to raise funds for both local and international charities.
While the Mayor and other dignitaries are expected to drop by throughout the busy day, all are welcome to join in the fun, even for a short while.
