A DRINK driver has been banned from getting behind the wheel for 12 months. 

Jake Ball was stopped in Hulfords Lane, Hartley Wintney, while driving a Ford Range on April 26, this year.

The 31-year-old was found to have 53 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35. 

At Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on June 4, Ball, of Lightwater in Surrey, pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit. 

Along with being disqualified, Ball was fined £325. He must also pay court costs of £85 and a £130 surcharge.
