A GIRL said she was made to "feel like Beyoncé" when a full VIP security detail turned up to 'arrest' and escort her to prom.

Trafford Foster and Jamie-Lee King were treated to a rather unusual, VIP experience, "that had everyone talking," as they made their way to their end of Year 11 prom at Audleys Wood Hotel on Friday, June 28.

The two Everest Community Academy pupils had no idea they would be given the full experience, which was organised by Trafford's mother, Paula Garlinge, and security company DGCS.

Paula said: "I want to thank DGCS publicly for the amazing job they did on Friday. In Basingstoke, they are normally known for providing security for Basingstoke Town FC and other Basingstoke venues.

"On Friday, however, members of staff volunteered their time to provide a surprise escort to a very deserving girl on her prom night."

DGCS arrived in three cars with flashing lights to collect the couple from their address in Oakridge.

Paula said that Trafford and Jamie-Lee were "stunned" when they saw the fleet of vehicles arrive.

The pair were then 'arrested' in comedic fashion before being driven away like VIPs to Audleys Wood Hotel.

Trafford said: "I want to say thank you to all the guys. What you did made me feel happy.

"It was scary at first because I didn’t know what was happening, but I was so excited. Then going through town with the cars made me feel like Beyoncé. "

Paula said: "Trafford and Jamie-Lee arrived at prom in style with a VIP experience that had everyone talking.

"I am so grateful for the time care and professionalism all involved showed throughout to make an unforgettable journey for my daughter and her boyfriend. I could never thank you enough."
