A MAN has been charged with a cocaine supply offence after officers stopped a car in Basingstoke.

Amdi Derri, of Winchester Road, Basingstoke, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A – cocaine.

The 20-year-old has also been charged with a money laundering offence and possessing a false identity document.

Police stopped a vehicle in Bounty Road, Basingstoke, at around 1pm on Sunday, June 30. 

Officers searched the car, finding cash. Cocaine and more cash were found by police following a search of a related address in Basingstoke.

Derri is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, July 2.

A 49-year-old man from London, who had been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply a controlled drug of Class A and a money laundering offence, has been released on conditional police bail until Monday, September 30, as police carry out further enquiries.
