Comedian and writer Sandi Toksvig is set to perform at The Anvil this September.
The show on Thursday, September 26, will see Ms Toksvig unveiling a new show to celebrate her latest novel, Friends of Dorothy.
Ms Toksvig promises a celebratory, 'life-affirming' evening packed with humour and insight.
Attendees can look forward to 'silly stories', 'profound truths', and 'fascinating facts', alongside excerpts from her new book.
An interactive game, complete with prizes, will also be part of the show, as will a quick-fire Q&A session.
The event aims to explore the theme of chosen families, replicating the message from Friends of Dorothy.
The novel, which is included with each ticket, focuses on a young married couple, Amber and Stevie.
Disruptions occur when they move into their dream home and meet a unique character, Dorothy, the flat's previous tenant.
The narrative follows the series of life-altering surprises that ensue.
The show, which comes after Ms Toksvig's previous successful tours, will start at 7.30pm.
It will be suitable for ages 14 and above.
Tickets are available for £40, including both the booking fee and a copy of Friends of Dorothy.
For tickets, contact the Anvil Arts box office on 01256 844244 or visit their website: www.anvilarts.org.uk/events/sandi-toksvig.
