Basingstoke Town's lady bowlers were denied progression to the National Top Club County final, after sustaining a four to zero defeat by a seasoned team from Lee-on-the-Solent at a neutral Oakley ground.
Furthermore, a National Double Rink quarter-final match saw Oakley's men bowlers facing similar disappointment following a narrow loss to Cove with a final score of 39-36.
The only remaining contenders in the National Team competitions are now Oakley and Basingstoke Town, who are set to clash in the County quarter final of the Men's Top Club.
Basingstoke Town also fell short in the County Mixed Top Club, succumbing to a highly skilled Alton Social team.
Meanwhile, Kingsclere celebrated a victory over Odiham, enabling them to reach the County quarter-final for the first time, where they are slated to go head-to-head with Alton Social.
Focusing on the County's individual events, all northern area final qualifiers hail from either Oakley or Basingstoke Town.
Following a decisive 21-6 win over the 2022 champion, Martin Vickers from Oakley has secured his spot at the Men's Singles event.
His team mate Alice Lovett will contest in the Women's category.
There will be representation from Basingstoke Town in the Ladies Pairs (Rachel Powell) and Men's Triples (Adam White) events.
The face-off between Oakley ladies triple players Janie Vickers and Shirley Ball will guarantee an Oakley representation at the quarter-finals in Southampton, a tradition sustained since 2015.
In further fixtures, Basingstoke Town advance to the Hants and Berks Cup final following a comprehensive victory over Howard Park.
They will be up against Alton Social.
The first division fixture of the Basingstoke Mixed Triples League saw Basingstoke Town "A" besting Oakley "A", thus gaining a 6.5-point lead in the standings.
In the second division, St Mary Bourne conceded their top spot after a home defeat of two to three against Whitchurch, thus propelling Town "B" to the top of the table.
Finally, the Whitchurch Mixed Triples League recorded an unexpected upset in Division 4 where bottom-ranked team, Oakley Kites, clinched a five-point win over second-placed Andover Eagles, marking their first victory since May 2023.
