A SITE manager for a housing developer has been honoured with a Pride in the Job 2024 Quality Award from the National House Building Council.
The prestigious award scheme, which is marking its 44th year, is widely regarded as the ‘Oscars’ of the house-building industry.
Dave Russell, a site manager for Bloor Homes’ South West region who is from Basingstoke, is among eight colleagues honoured from the south west and 28 from the company nationally.
They were picked from 8,000 sites after thousands of rigorous inspections, meticulous scoring, and comprehensive verification.
Dave and his team were recognised for their consistency, attention to detail, leadership, technical expertise, as well as skills in interpreting drawings and specifications, and maintaining health and safety.
The Pride in the Job award acknowledges the top five per cent of UK site managers. Having bagged this award, Dave and his team are now in line to compete for the Seal of Excellence and regional awards in the autumn. The national Supreme Award winners will be announced in January.
MD Jon Fletcher said: “Our congratulations to all eight site managers in this year’s Pride in the Job Quality Awards. To have eight managers recognised for quality across the south west is testament to Bloor Homes aim of providing the very best for all of our customers. We wish them all the best of luck in the next round.”
Divisional chairmen, Andrew Marns and Richard Oldroyd said: “Consistently putting customers at the centre of everything they do sets the bar high for the entire team and ensures the delivery of outstanding quality in our homes. We are proud of all 28 winners - thanks to NHBC for recognising their dedication.”
