Kempshott Junior School now boasts an eco-friendly library and staff room, thanks to installer Vivid Green.

The modular structure, including a 60 square meter library and a 22 square meter staff room was designed to enrich the learning environment while staying aligned with Vivid Green's dedication towards sustainability.

Completed within four weeks, the building features bifold doors with an entrance canopy for shade, skylights for natural lighting, sustainable red cedar cladding, composite decking for the walkway, and galvanised steel ground screws to minimise environmental impact.

This significant improvement of the school's reading space and aesthetics made for a cost-effective investment.

The new facility was officially unveiled by award-winning children's book author Guy Bass, where he hosted workshops and signed books for the students.

Olly Urquhart, co-founder of Vivid Green, said: "We are incredibly proud of the completed project at Kempshott Junior School and hearing positive feedback is truly rewarding. Our goal was to create a functional, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing space that would enhance the learning environment for students and teachers.

"This project highlights the significant benefits of schools and councils collaborating with small businesses like Vivid Green. We aim to create a long-lasting and positive impact on educational environments for generations to come."

Jo Johnson, admin and finance officer at Kempshott Junior School, said: "The new building is beautiful, situated on the playground with wood cladding, making it environmentally friendly and visually appealing. Both students and teachers love it.

"It has had a very positive impact on our school day. It has allowed our Breakfast and Afterschool Club children to have their own dedicated space by moving the Library outside and in turn, has provided a wonderful environment for the children to nurture their love of reading and learning.

"I would recommend Vivid Green to other schools, but also anyone with the space and budget. The quality and benefits are outstanding for both educational and private use."
