MARIA Miller was spotted running out of the election count in Basingstoke after her historic defeat to Labour's Luke Murphy.
As previously reported, Conservative candidate Dame Maria Miller received 14,438 votes, in contrast to Labour's Luke Murphy's 20,922, in an historic win for the Labour Party.
After giving a speech, Maria Miller rushed off stage and headed for the door.

When approached by the Gazette for comment, Dame Maria declined and continued on her way out of the building.
The video above shows Dame Maria leaving the count which was held in the Loddon Vale Indoor Bowling Club in the Leisure Park.

The overall results were as follows:
- Luke Murphy (Labour) - 20,922
- Maria Miller (Conservatives) - 14,438
- Raymond Saint (Independent) - 6,314
- Michael Howard-Sorrell (Green Party) - 3,568
- Richard Whelan (LibDem) - 3,176
- Alan Stone (Hampshire Independents) - 571
