It helps students understand the importance of teamwork, discipline, and goals while offering a supportive environment to build confidence and discover potential.

The school encourages students to explore the opportunities provided by the CCF programme, which prepares them to be 'game-changers'.

Corporal Carter, year 11, said: "Joining the cadets has been a real escape for me. It’s like stepping into a different world where I can just be myself and grow. It’s given me a whole new perspective on life and made me more independent.

"Cadet groups often provide opportunities for teamwork and discipline, and service to others, which can be incredibly rewarding and impactful on one’s overall mental and physical wellbeing. The best memory from cadets was the first summer camp when you get to know the people in the contingent."

Acting headteacher, Andy Conway, said: "Our CCF programme is a shining example of how we put our core values into action. It offers students the chance to enjoy new experiences, respect themselves and others and achieve things they never thought possible. We’re incredibly proud of the positive impact it has on our students’ personal and academic development."
