A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of arson, ABH and assaulting a police officer after a fire broke out in Popley.
The incident happened at around 8.27am today, Friday, July 5, at an address in Fountains Close, Popley.
Police were called to reports of a fire and reports that a woman had been assaulted and suffered a minor injury.
Officers arrested a woman and one police officer was assaulted but not hurt.

A 32-year-old woman from Basingstoke was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life, assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm and common assault of an emergency worker.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary told the Gazette: "We were called at 8.27am today (5 July) to reports of a fire at an address on Fountains Close, Basingstoke.
"It was also reported that a woman had been assaulted and had suffered a minor injury.
"Officers attended the scene and a woman was arrested. An officer was assaulted, but not hurt.
"A 32-year-old woman from Basingstoke has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life, assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm and common assault of an emergency worker."
