POLICE would like to speak to a man who has been identified as a key witness following a death on the railway at Basingstoke in April 2023.
British Transport Police has launched an appeal to identify the man who could help piece together the moments leading up to the death.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Gemma Littlewood said: "I would like to stress this man is a key witness and not suspected of any criminal activity.
"We think he may have spoken to the victim prior to her death and could help us to understand her movements before she died.
“If this is you in the picture, or you recognise him, please get in contact with British Transport Police on 0800 405040, or by texting 61016 quoting reference 2300044281."
The death is not being treated as suspicious and an inquest has been opened.
