Over 80 business leaders from Hampshire, Dorset and the south of England bravely snapped arrows against their throats in a personal development workshop.

Participants in the daunting exercise placed arrowheads at their necks, walking towards an instructor, causing the arrows to shatter under body pressure.

The workshop, led by Jeff Shrimpton, founder of Evolution Empowerment Events, was part of Bizpedia's national conference at the Fairmont Windsor Park in Southampton.

The workshop aimed to help participants identify and conquer their fears and limiting beliefs, opening the way to improved performance and satisfaction.

The leaders were urged to inscribe their personal anchors onto the arrows before breaking them.

Evolution Empowerment Events' offerings also include intensive activities like fire walking and board breaking.

Mr Shrimpton said: "Nothing beats the feeling of being able to help others escape their comfort zone so they can unlock their true potential, and leave feeling capable and courageous.

"Breaking these kinds of arrows using your neck is a perfectly safe but very exhilarating activity, that leaves participants feeling full of confidence and adrenaline.

"All of the activities organised by Evolution Empowerment Events are led by a qualified instructor and should not be replicated at home."
