A HAMPSHIRE housebuilder has made a huge donation to Basingstoke NeighbourCare to support their work.
Redrow Southern Counties presented volunteers with a £450 donation to support services aimed at enabling older people's independence.
Basingstoke NeighbourCare has been helping older Basingstoke residents for 27 years and currently helps more than 500 individuals.
Their services include transportation, befriending events, a Community Café, social groups and affordable handyman/gardening services.
The donation from Redrow will cover expenses like volunteer reimbursement while supporting hundreds of older people.
Paul Robson, secretary and trustee of Basingstoke NeighbourCare, expressed his gratitude: "On behalf of everyone at Basingstoke NeighbourCare, I would like to thank Redrow Southern Counties for their generous donation."
He emphasized that through their support, older people can continue to live independently.
This donation is part of Redrow Southern Counties’ Community Fund.
Launched this year, it supports local organisations, schools, and groups.
Mark Vanson, sales director at Redrow Southern Counties, said: "We launched our Community Fund this year as an additional way to support local infrastructure including the groups and organisations which make these communities great places to live and look forward to seeing the impact the donations have."
