THIS July, West Green House Opera in Hartley Wintney presents a study in contrasts featuring Falstaff and Suor Angelica.

On Sunday, July 21, audiences can enjoy Falstaff, a character renowned from Shakespeare's plays, an ardent knight known for his jocund disposition, zest for life and inability to pass up a drink.

This new staging of Verdi's opera, based on The Merry Wives of Windsor, will feature Falstaff being challenged by spirited women leading to comic outcomes.

The production is by Richard Studer, pairing the comedic storyline with Verdi's soaring tunes.
