A BASINGSTOKE man has been jailed for a catalogue of crimes including possessing a knife in public and dangerous driving.
Dominic Ettridge, of James Road, was sentenced to 34 weeks in prison following a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on June 28.
The 32-year-old on June 20, 2023, had in his possession a quantity of cannabis, and on the same day, in Redshank Crescent, he had two locking knives.

During the same day, Ettridge was caught driving dangerously on Carpenter’s Down, in Basingstoke, in a Ford S Max. He also had 3.7ug/L of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol in his system – the legal limit is two, and had no insurance.
On January 4, this year, he failed without reasonable excuse to surrender to custody at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.
Ettridge was disqualified from driving for 24 years, according to the court register, and was jailed for 34 weeks.
He must also pay a surcharge fee of £187.
