A MAN has been arrested in connection with a fire at a block of flats in Church Crookham.
A 44-year-old man from Church Crookham was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life. He is currently in police custody.
Police were called at 11.49pm on Monday, July 8, to a report of a fire in a communal hallway of a block of flats in Wickham Place.
A small number of flats were evacuated while firefighters put out the fire. Two people were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation but no further injuries were reported. Residents returned to their flats that night.

Following examinations of the scene, the fire is being treated as arson. A bike was damaged in the fire. An investigation is underway.
Police are appealing for anyone with information on what happened to come forward.
