BASINGSTOKE residents can look forward to a summer filled with free music in the surroundings of Eastrop Park.
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council's popular Summer Bands programme returns this year, offering a series of performances by local brass and silver bands every Sunday from July to September.
The concerts will take place at the park's bandstand between 3pm and 5pm, providing a relaxed afternoon of entertainment for all ages.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic rug or deckchair and soak in the music while enjoying the park's green spaces.

Basingstoke and Deane cabinet member for sports, leisure and culture Cllr Kerry Morrow said: "Following the success of this year’s Basingstoke Festival, I am really pleased to see the return of the popular Summer Bands programme giving people a chance to enjoy live performances in one of our most popular parks.
“With a boating lake, tree trail and play areas, Eastrop Park is a great place for families to relax. I would encourage residents to pack a picnic and bring their families to enjoy the park alongside a great afternoon of free music.”
