A Hampshire motorway service station has ranked as the best motorway services for parking spaces in the whole of the UK.

The Welcome Break Services at Fleet has an enormous 730 spots, which is 14 more than the nearest competitor.

Cobham was in second place with 716 parking spaces, whilst Leigh Delamere was in third with 700.

The research for this was conducted by the car service cinch which was aiming to find the best motorway service station in the UK alongside the best for EV charging facilities and the best for parking spaces.

Discussing Fleet they wrote: "We've all been there. You're on a long drive in your used Mercedes, and you need to stretch your legs and maybe grab a coffee or something to eat, but you can't find a space for love or money. The best place to avoid this nightmare? Fleet Services – it has a mammoth 730 spaces.

"When you arrive, you have two hours of free parking, so you can make the most of the facilities such as the free showers and the many food options onsite.

"Cobham follows closely behind in second place with 716 spaces, and Leigh Delamere isn’t far behind with 700. So, if you’re wary of missing out on parking spots, try and get to one of these three."

How is the Fleet motorway service station reviewed?

Welcome Break Fleet has been mostly well-received with a score of 4/5 from 8,705 Google Reviews.

One person wrote: "Very beautiful, but full of people. You will get almost all the food here, but you have to wait 10-30 minutes. You can also buy the groceries as well here. Restroom was very clean also there was a game section for kids."

Another shared: "A very good place to stop on your travels or otherwise. This Welcome Break was spotless including the toilets which is more than can be said for other motorway stops. Great coffee here burgers pizza and supermarket provisions. Great."

Meanwhile, another posted: "Plenty of parking available. A good range of eateries to cater for most people. Can get very busy depending on the time of day. Clean and well stocked toilets. Fuel is available, including plug in for electric cars."

Alongside their research, cinch also made recommendations for what motorway service stations to keep in mind on your journey.
