FOOTBALL fans across Basingstoke crowded around televisions, gathered in pubs and waved flags as they watched Spain beat England in the Euro 2024 final.
Thousands of fans poured into the town’s pubs and many held parties to watch the game, in the hope that football was coming home.
Residents did not disappoint, wearing England tops, props, face-paint and flags for the tense ending to the tournament.
The Gazette asked fans to send in their photos ahead of the match and we attended Bartons Mill, which was packed with hundreds of people.
