AN AUTHOR who has recently been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is launching his debut novel with a special event in Basingstoke.
Stephen Ross' The Candlemaker's Affair is mostly set in Basingstoke and will be launched at The White Hart in London Road on August 7, from 4pm to 7pm.
Mr Ross, from Wokingham, was diagnosed with MND in late 2023, and he wanted to complete the book quickly as using his keyboard became increasingly hard.
