KEEN golfers are invited to take part in a golf day later this year to raise vital money for a Basingstoke hospice.
St Michael’s Hospice is holding the event on Friday, September 13, at Test Valley Golf Club, Overton.
Teams of four are invited to complete the 18-hole-course and compete for the Tim Clayton Cup.
Even if you’re not a golfer you can still enjoy the day, as it will include a charity raffle, with a wheelbarrow of wine and a silent auction, a barbecue, drinks and prize giving.

Nicky Young, community engagement lead at the hospice, said: "The hospice’s annual golf day is a really wonderful day – bringing teams together to enjoy a day out on the green (hopefully with some sunshine!) in competition from the Tim Clayton Cup, which was created in honour of Tim, who used the hospice."
Last year, St Michael's Hospice supported more than 800 people across North Hampshire.
It relies heavily on the community’s generosity to raise the £15,000 per day needed to care for patients as it only receives 16 per cent of NHS funding.
Attending the golf day helps to ensure that patients and families receive care when needed, whether that be at home, in the hospice or in the Living Well Centre.
