A THIEF who stole razor blades and alcohol from shops in Hook has been told to complete unpaid work.
George Pattinson, of Castle Road, Basingstoke, stole from a stole from two supermarkets in the town on four different days.
On December 20, 2023, the 27-year-old took alcohol worth £37.05 from Tesco. Three days later, on December 23, Pattinson stole razor blades to the value of around £100 from Sainsbury’s and alcohol from Tesco worth around £150.

Then on January 6 he returned to Sainsbury’s and stole razor blades worth £40, and on January 22 he carried out his biggest theft – taking alcohol and razor blades to the value of £490 from the same store.
At Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on June 27, Pattinson pleaded guilty to four counts of theft from a shop.
He must complete 50 hours of unpaid work and up to 15 rehabilitation days. He must also pay compensation of £572.05.
Pattinson has also been directed to provide samples for 12 months as part of a drug rehabilitation order.
