Eight ECB Southern Premier League matches were abandoned due to rain this weekend, while one was resolved as a winning draw.
In the ECB Premier division, Alton registered a respectable score of 270-5, thanks to considerable innings from Rolfs (94), Myers (39), and Gonella (37) before the game against Burridge, at 88-1 with Goles boasting an uncompleted half-century, was called off owing to rain.
In another interrupted match, Bashley (Rydal) scored 224, led by Gordon's 73, to Lymington's 206-5, with star performances from Moors (60*) and M Abbas (56). The match was abandoned but went in Lymington's favour as a winning draw.
The Hampshire Academy-Lymington match also suffered a dampened ending.
The game was paused at Hampshire Academy's 177-2, spearheaded by Ashman’s unbeaten 88 and Kelly’s not-out 56.
South Wilts’ bowlers Cheater (35) and Deggs (32*) saved the game from Bournemouth, which reached 79-2 before it rained.
St Cross Symondians declared at 225-7 against Basingstoke & North Hants before rain ceased the game.
Basingstoke were 139-9, trailing the set score by a significant margin.
This match was also ruled as a winning draw in favour of Lymington.
In Division 1, Portsmouth outplayed Andover by eight wickets, with Araful and H Gadd leaving the field unbeaten on 73 and 52 respectively.
Ventnor registered a seven-wicket victory against Calmore Sports aided by Thimodya's unblemished 97.
In another decisive victory, Hook & Newnham Basics overwhelmed Rowledge by 118 runs, with Warner making a significant contribution of 95 runs.
Sarisbury Athletic emerged victorious against Old Tauntonians & Romsey by 48 runs, and Waterlooville had to abandon their match against Totton & Eling due to the weather, with no result.
Division 2 and 3 saw five and seven matches respectively, of which one in Division 2 and four in Division 3 resulted in victories, with New Milton, Liphook & Ripsley, Paultons, Fawley, Sparsholt, Hook & Newnham Basics II and Trojans leading their sides to triumph.
