A MAN has been ordered to pay almost £2,000 after he was caught breaking the speed limit on a motorway.
Duncan McMurray, of Tollard Royal, sped along the M3 southbound between Junction 6 and 7 at Basingstoke in a BMW M340d on June 18.
The 46-year-old was caught by a police officer using manned equipment and pleaded guilty to speeding at Southampton Magistrates' Court on Thursday, July 18.
McMurray was given a £1,250 fine, asked to pay £110 court costs and a £500 surcharge to fund victim services, bringing the total he owes to £1,860.
Magistrates also endorsed McMurray's driving record with six penalty points.
