THERE was double delight for Odiham and Greywell Cricket Club as their A and B teams both enjoyed quarter-final victories in the past week.
The A team beat Andover in the Guy Jewell Cup on Monday evening at May’s Bounty, while the B team won in the Cyril Thompson Trophy beating East Woodhay at the same venue four days earlier.
Odiham’s Guy Jewell success over Andover has set-up a semi-final clash with holders Basingstoke and North Hants on Tuesday July 30.
Odiham batted first against Andover and scored 205-4 from their 20 overs, as Kyran Munt top scored with 89 supported well by Gareth Sharp (59).

In reply, Andover made 110-7 as Stuart Summers made 25. Callum Doran 2-20 was the top bowler and there was one wicket each for Scott McGaughrin, Rowan Duckworth, Joe Merlino and Gareth Sharp.
In the Cyril Thompson Trophy win, East Woodhay batted first and scored 156-4 with Ben Hummel unbeaten on 74 and he was well supported by Tom Leeson (33 not out) and Ollie Batchelor (26). Andrew Duckworth was the chief wicket taker with a brace.
Odiham B passed their target with four overs to spare as Kyran Munt hit 79, backed up by Gareth Sharp (32) and Dan Warna (25). Alan Williams 2-24 was the pick of the bowlers.
There is more Trophy action this evening (Thursday July 25) when Stratfield Turgis and Rotherwick will try for the third time to play their first round clash.
Then on Monday July 29, Chawton take on Aldermaston Rugby in a quarter-final encounter.
All the above games are at May’s Bounty and start at 5.45pm with admission being free.
