In no particular order:

Bolton Arms

Set in the historic village of Old Basing, the Bolton Arms dates back to the late 15th century.

The pub reopened in January under new ownership after closing in November 2022 to the dismay of regulars.

The popular boozer offers a weekly pub quiz, held every Tuesday night at 9pm. It costs £3 per person to enter with a chance to win 'many cash prizes'.

Pub-goers are advised to book early to avoid disappointment and can compete in teams of up to six.

Bartons Mill

This converted mill-turned-pub in Old Basing proves extremely popular, as its difficult quiz promises to challenge brainboxes and amateurs alike.

Taking place on a Thursday at 8pm, the topics for this quiz change weekly, varying from questions about inventors, sports, and music rounds for those with well-tuned ears.

Bartons Mill gets busy in the evenings, especially on quiz night, so those desperate to challenge their mind are asked to reserve a table.

All proceeds from the quiz are donated to the pub's house charity, St Michael's Hospice which provides support and care for those facing the end of life, are experiencing bereavement or have a life-limiting illness.
