A PAIR of Basingstoke sisters have completed a gruelling walk in memory of their brother, on what would have been his 21st birthday.
Danica Penhallurick, along with her sister Skyla and friend Dan Underwood, completed the Man Vs Coast challenge in Cornwall on Saturday, July 6.
They walked 40k along Cornwall’s coastland, completing the route in nine hours and 30 minutes, but it was not without obstacles including a 1k vertical climb, scrambling over jagged rocks, and climbing through a storm drain.

The trio decided to take on the challenge in honour of Danica and Skyla’s brother, Conner, who was still born, calling themselves Team Conner’s Angels.
Danica, 17, said: “We wanted to raise as much money as possible for the charity, Sands, who supported my family.”
Sands is a charity that supports families dealing with stillbirth and neonatal death. The charity also funds research to try to reduce the number of baby deaths in the UK.
The trio have so far raised £822 and hope to reach their £1,000 target.
