THE 2024 Paris Olympics are underway and one of the Team GB athletes hoping for gold medal glory is Basingstoke and Mid Hants runner Ben Pattison.
One-to-watch, the 22-year-old from Hook has dreamed of competing in the Olympic Games since he was 10-years-old and has already had huge success on the track after winning a gold medal in the 800m at the British Athletics Championships in June and a bronze medal at the World Championships in Budapest last year.
"Everyone's been saying Paris would probably be my first Olympics, and for that to be true now is a dream come true. We've got such a strong team, so I can't wait to get out there,” he told Athletics Weekly.
