THE Tesco superstore in Chineham has reopened after it was closed to customers due to heavy flooding.
Chineham Shopping Centre announced the closure on its Facebook page at 9pm on Thursday, August 1. The post read: "Please note that Tesco is currently closed until further notice due to unforeseen weather circumstances.
"Apologies for any inconvenience caused."

Customers reported being turned away from the store in Basingstoke as water collected on the floor of the supermarket.
A spokesperson for Tesco previously told the Gazette: “We are working to reopen our Basingstoke superstore as quickly as possible following flooding after heavy rainfall. We apologise for the inconvenience.”
The store reopened as normal on Friday, August 2) with only a couple of wet floor signs left.
An employee at the Tesco Superstore said they 'had never seen anything like it'.
Earlier this week the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms, in place until midnight on August 1.
Basingstoke was hit by heavy rain, with train services disrupted, roads closed and heavy traffic due to the rain.
