Two people have been arrested after a police officer was injured in a protest outside a hotel housing asylum seekers in Hampshire.
Hampshire Constabulary have confirmed the men have been arrested, following a peaceful protest which turned violent outside the Potters International Hotel in Aldershot on Wednesday.
A 32-year-old man from Farnborough and a 60-year-old man from Farnham have both been arrested on suspicion of affray and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to stir up racial hatred.

They remain in custody while our enquiries are ongoing.
Meanwhile, a teenage girl was voluntarily interviewed.
Around 200 people gathered outside the hotel on Wednesday as part of a demonstration.
Hampshire Constabulary said a minority of the group became involved in criminal activity at around 6.45pm, throwing objects and subjecting people to racist abuse.
Police were swiftly on scene to disperse the group, but one officer sustained a minor injury.
The force are still looking to speak to five people in relation to the incident.
