Basingstoke residents were encouraged to be active and make healthier choices at a Wellbeing Day event.
The event on July 27, organised by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council (BDBC), was held at War Memorial Park following a season of global sporting events, including the Olympics and Paralympics, which the council hopes have motivated the community.

BDBC partnered with several local sports and exercise groups to offer an array of activities to residents in the town centre park.
Between 11am to 3pm, attendees enjoyed a range of free sports and activities such as tennis, pickleball, cricket, and group exercise sessions.
There were also live displays of hockey, dance, and gymnastics, giving residents the opportunity to enjoy local talent and perhaps find a new hobby.
Additionally, hands-on nature activities highlighted more ways families can work on their wellbeing.
Councillor Kerry Morrow, cabinet member for sports, leisure and culture, said: "I am pleased that the sports and wellbeing day in War Memorial Park was a great success. The sun shone and helped to create the perfect atmosphere, with residents relaxing in the park in between doing or watching the taster sessions.
"A big thank you to The Stoke Park and the Skate Jam who drew the crowds in with their enthusiasm and incredibly skilled riders and skaters.
"The event couldn’t have happened without the help of our amazing clubs and the volunteers that help run them. So, a big thank you to Basingstoke Gymnastics Club, Basingstoke Calisthenetics, Capital Cricket, Basingstoke Academy of Dance, National Tennis Association, Basingstoke Aquadrome and Basingstoke Hockey Club. Thanks also to all the parents and volunteers who helped promote their sport.
"The range of sport and leisure facilities on offer in our borough is impressive and - as cabinet member for sports, leisure and culture - it is my goal to increase participation in sport and the use of our fantastic facilities. So please follow up on the taster sessions and sign up to the clubs and activities."
