A LITTER of eight puppies that need rehoming have sparked an appeal from the RSPCA Basingstoke and Andover branch to find them owners.
The puppies are all looking for a forever home after a pregnant stray dog entered the care of the branch, where she gave birth to the pups.
The breed of the dogs is not known as their mother was a crossbreed, a combination of a small Terrier and an unknown breed. There are three female and five male pups in the litter.

Sarah Biro, a volunteer at the RSPCA Basingstoke and Andover, said that in order to rehome one of the dogs, people must be at home 'most of the time' and have the spare time necessary for a puppy to undergo training.
She added that the dogs are suitable to be housed alongside other dogs, cats, and children over the age of 10, but that people must have their own 'fully enclosed garden'.
Sarah continued: "The puppies are so full of fun, they will keep you entertained for hours and can't wait to find their forever homes."
Sarah has volunteered with the Basingstoke and Andover branch of the charity for 16 years, providing vital support and a foster home to animals in the area.
The branch is run by a committee of volunteers and relies on public donations and fundraising to support its animal welfare activities.

These include animal re-homing, provision of limited financial assistance and the promotion of responsible pet ownership through emergency neutering and microchipping campaigns.
If you are unable to commit to rehoming an animal on a permanent basis, then fostering could be ideal.
A spokesperson for RSPCA Basingstoke and Andover said: "Fostering can be a highly rewarding experience which also enables us to provide our animals with a temporary loving home whilst we find them their new owner. We need foster homes for all sorts of reasons and lengths of time."
