A HOOK businesswoman is in the running for to be recognised for her career and knowledge of the tech industry.
Founder and CEO of DataFit, Sam Gaskell, is among 10 finalists in the Senior Women in Tech category at the SheCanCode Power Up Awards.
Ms Gaskell's work includes her involvement with the social enterprise, Next Tech Girls, as a role model.
She appeared on a panel at the University of Winchester's #EmpowerHER event and Women in Technology Hampshire's 'Attracting & retaining talent and the importance of male allies' event.
Ms Gaskell also served as a mentor for three young women commencing a career in data and technology, meeting with them monthly.

Ms Gaskell said: "I am absolutely thrilled to have been shortlisted for a SheCanCode Power Up Award - I feel immensely proud to be positioned alongside a group of incredible women within the sector and wish everyone the best of luck!
