VISITORS to The Anvil in Basingstoke are set for a unique musical experience featuring Will Gregory's Moog Ensemble and the Britten Sinfonia.
The special one-off concert, scheduled for Wednesday, October 9 at 8pm, will showcase a fusion of classic tracks accompanied by an exclusive introduction of new music.
Prominent in the evening's programme will be music from admired soundtracks like the original Dr Who theme, Wendy Carlos' Switched-On Bach, Vangelis’ Chariots of Fire, and Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange film score.
The repertoire will also include compositions from out-of-the-box American composer, Charles Ives, and a unique celebration of Archimedes’ genius by Will Gregory.

YouTube star and mathematician, Matt Parker, will join in on the performance.
The 10-strong Moog Ensemble, led by Gregory, brings together notable musicians from well-known bands such as Portishead, and Florence and the Machine, along with composer Graham Fitkin.
The first half of the concert is earmarked for science fiction film soundtracks.
The second half, however, will feature the debut of Gregory's suite for synths and orchestra, inspired by the theorems proposed by ancient Greek mathematician Archimedes.
To accompany the music, informative insights revealing the connections between maths and music will be shared throughout the event.
