THE renowned Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra is to make a highly anticipated return to The Anvil, Basingstoke.
Scheduled for Saturday, October 12 at 7.30pm, the evening will kick off with Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony.
This piece, inspired by Beethoven’s fondness for the Austrian countryside, features five movements capturing peaceful rural scenes.
This includes a peaceful brook, a local dance, a dramatic thunderstorm, and a heartfelt hymn of thanks.

Following Beethoven's symphony halfway through the concert, the audience will be treated to Shostakovich's concerto for piano and trumpet.
This spirited piece sees both instruments engaging playfully with the orchestra and one another.
Closing the night, Stravinsky's first major triumph, The Firebird, will be performed.
The well-loved ballet score is based on Russian folklore, charting a young prince's demon-defeating exploits with the aid of a firebird feather.
Martin James Bartlett and Paul Bosworth will be joining as piano and trumpet soloists respectively.
Elena Schwarz will be gracing the event as conductor for the evening.
Audiences can book tickets at prices ranging from £17 to £45, with discounted rates for those under 25 or full-time students at £12.
The tickets can be purchased at Anvil Arts box office or online via its website.
