A BASINGSTOKE man has been jailed for three months and given a restraining order for assaulting a woman, and two police constables.
Ben Andrew, 29, of Paddock Road, pleaded guilty to beating the victim at a Basingstoke address on May 11.
He also pleaded guilty to assault of two emergency workers – a male and a female constable – at Northern Police Investigation Centre in Jays Close, Basingstoke, on June 9.
Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on July 19 jailed him for 12 weeks.

He was also ordered pay a compensation of £50 for the assault of constables.
The court said the offences were so serious that only a custodial sentence could be justified.
Andrew was also ordered to pay a compensation of £100 for damaging a door chain belonging to the woman.
The court also imposed a restraining order. He should not contact directly or indirectly the victim, or enter the address where the assault happened, until July 18, 2026.
