A MAN who assaulted police officers in Basingstoke and Stockbridge has been jailed.
David Rolfe, 44, of no fixed abode in Winchester, pleaded guilty to assaulting two police officers at the Northern Police Investigation Centre in Basingstoke and another officer in Stockbridge all on Sunday, July 28.

Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on July 29 sent him to jail for eight weeks.
The court said the offences are so serious that only a custodial sentence can be justified.
Reason for custody was due to the nature of the offences which involved spitting and an implement being used for one of the offences, previous record and lack of compliance with post sentence supervision.
Rolfe was also ordered to pay £50 compensation.
